NextEra Energy and Florida Power & Light Company have partnered with The Scripps Research Institute and Scripps Florida on a cutting-edge collaboration focused on finding creative solutions for the next generation of clean energy.
The innovative multi-year partnership combines the partners’ collective expertise to address three key challenges of the energy sector:
»»Improving the economic viability of large-scale clean energy expansions;
»»Increasing the output of next-generation renewable energy technologies; and
»»Enhancing the efficiency and storage capabilities of the nation’s electric grid.
Through this new partnership, this rooftop based research is expanding by utilizing space at Scripps Florida headquarters in nearby Jupiter, Fla., to create the Next Generation Clean Energy Living Lab "II."
