Palm Beach County Department of Economic Sustainability
The primary responsibility of the Palm Beach County Department of Economic Sustainability (DES) is to implement, manage and monitor the economic development programs of the Board of County Commissioners. DES responds to the Board's direction or changing priorities on various economic development initiatives. DES provides coordination on economic issues, programs and projects affecting the entire County. It also facilitates requests for technical support and funding assistance by County departments and agencies, not-for-profit entities, municipalities, the business community and the public. DES reports directly to County Administration.

Palm Beach County Office of Small Business Assistance
The Office of Small Business Assistance provides small, minority and/or women business owners with assistance bidding on county contracts and identifying sources of financial and technical assistance. This office is also responsible for monitoring conditions that encourage the growth, development and opportunities for small, minority and/or women-owned businesses in Palm Beach County.
