The BDB convened the Academic Leaders Council on April 18 to continue the work it started on October 21, 2016. The council, comprised of Palm Beach County’s academic leaders, works to strengthen business and education partnerships. While October’s meeting focused on AAE, IT/Telecommunications, life sciences and trades, the dialogue on the 18th was focused on healthcare, distribution/logistics and manufacturing.
As a not-for-profit economic development board, it is important for the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County to be transparent and authentic. While we work very hard to communicate our efforts to recruit, retain and expand companies, there are many aspects of our operations that cannot be disclosed.

The company, which designs gas turbines used in jets and industrial gas turbines for energy generation, plans to add 200 employees to an existing workforce of 255 at its office and manufacturing facility in Jupiter. In addition, the company will make a capital investment of $1,000,000.
