Palm Beach County produces reactions and supports commercialization of the Life Sciences, inviting the future's start-ups to an unprecedented destination that incubates profitable outcomes.

Florida Atlantic University's John D. MacArthur Campus in Jupiter is the only place on the planet where Scripps and Max Planck, the world's top two research institutes in biomedical sciences as ranked by Nature Index, co-reside.

Florida Atlantic University's Brian Institute in Jupiter also holds the prestigious Nikon Center of Excellence designation.

In just the past two years, over 20 companies chose to locate to Palm Beach County. Two Life Science incubators/accelerators are already on the near horizon, with plans to host up to 50 start-up companies, joining our established 14 hospitals and numerous medical facilities.

Over 700 companies are in Palm Beach County, primarily engaged in activities from R&D or manufacturing of biotechnologies, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals to the environmental and biological sciences — manufacturing the future of Life Sciences.

EXUMA Biotech, a clinical-stage biotechnology company discovering and developing Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR)-T cell products and delivery solutions for liquid and solid tumors, announced today the opening of its new West Palm Beach laboratories. The Business Development Board of Palm Beach County (BDB) facilitated the expansion through expedited permitting and also showcased the competitive advantages of the local life sciences industry to EXUMA, resulting in a new 6,500 square-foot lab in West Palm Beach, FL.

The Business Development Board of Palm Beach County (BDB) is pleased to announce the expansion of Aventusoft, the inventor of the “HEMOTAG CPAS” cardiac diagnostic system, in Boca Raton. The company announced today that it was awarded an additional $3 million in funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI). Aventusoft plans to add 10 new jobs at its office located at 3651 FAU Blvd, #400 in Boca Raton and will create a capital investment of $6 million through the expansion.

MPLT HEALTHCARE EMPLOYS 131 AT NEW CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS

The Business Development Board of Palm Beach County (BDB), in cooperation with Enterprise Florida, the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, the City of Boca Raton, and the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, is pleased to announce the relocation of MPLT Healthcare, a nationwide leader in healthcare and physician staffing. In addition to the move, the company plans to add 75 new jobs to its existing workforce. The new 23,000 sq. ft. corporate headquarters will be located at 3701 FAU Boulevard, Suite 300, in Boca Raton with a capital investment of $1,530,000.
