Current Projects Could Bring 250 jobs to Palm Beach County

The Business Development Board continually looks for companies that may be interested in relocating to or expanding in Palm Beach County.   To find potential projects, the BDB attends target industry conventions and events, site consultant events, governor’s recruitment missions, Enterprise Florida partnership missions, and local networking events.  The BDB also makes targeted business visits within the county to uncover retention opportunities.  But many of the best projects come from BDB members and partners who refer companies that they encounter in their normal business activities.

The BDB always works to add to its pipeline of projects.  This is particularly important because projects constantly are won, lost, or simply drop out of the pipeline as companies cancel projects or put them on hold due to market forces.

Currently, the BDB has a number of interesting projects in the pipeline.  They include:

  • A recruitment project in the financial services sector that would bring 100 jobs to the County
  • A relocation from a northeastern state that would add approximately 50 manufacturing jobs in the County in the short term, and potentially twice that many in the long term
  • A retention and expansion project in the life science sector with over 100 potential new jobs.

Each project follows its own timeline, so the BDB can’t predict when any of these projects will close, but we can promise that our members will be the first to hear the good news.  In the meantime, please keep the BDB in mind if you hear that one of your clients or business partners might be looking for a great business location – we would love to help them find it here in Palm Beach County!
