Life Science Industry Draft Report Presentation

Gina Melby, CEO of JFK Medical Center; John Couris, President & CEO of Jupiter Medical Center; and Kelly Smallridge, President & CEO of the Business Development Board presented the Palm Beach County Life Science Industry Study Draft Report on March 28.  65 stakeholders from life sciences companies, academic institutions, governments, and support organizations heard the presentation, and offered valuable feedback to be incorporated in the report

Melby presented the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats found in the County with regard to building a sustainable life science sector.  Couris followed up with an enumeration of the seven major recommendations in the report, and some of the short and long-term action items to carry out those recommendations.

This study also provides a comprehensive inventory of Palm Beach County life science companies, and identifies a number of sub-clusters present in the county.
