The equestrian industry is one of Palm Beach County’s most signature economic sectors.

Did you know that the Winter Equestrian Festival attracts over 250,000 people during a 12 week period? A Saturday night crowd exceeds 8,000 people. It's considered the epicenter for some of the world’s top riders. Participants are from 33 countries and 50 states.

Over 6,000 horses will participate annually in the WEF over the 12 weeks, with up to 3,000 horses showing per week, which includes 3,250 riders and 850 trainers.

The total prize money for the event will exceed $9 million dollars.

The Winter Equestrian Festival is conducted at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center located in Wellington, FL.

The center is in the middle of an 8,000 acre equestrian preserve where there are over 600 permanent farms.

It houses over 10,000 horses, including dressage, polo, and hunter/jumper.
