Expedited Permitting
Expedited permitting encourages new businesses to relocate in Palm Beach County by assisting qualified building projects with a coordinated and fast-tracked permitting process.  Expedited permitting also helps existing local companies expand their operations.

Who Qualifies?
Expedited permitting language varies from city to city within Palm Beach County. Generally, expedited permitting guidelines are aimed at businesses that fall into certain targeted industry clusters; the business must demonstrate the capability to create a certain number of full-time positions within a timeframe and new employment positions shall be value-added employment based on the average salary paid by the employer; the business shall submit financial information to the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County to establish solvency and status as an ongoing business prior to acceptance into the program. Once the criteria are met, and a recommendation to expedite is made by the BDB, the County or municipality will designate a staff member to serve as the liaison to work with the applicant through the development application and permitting process.

Community Redevelopment Agencies
Community Redevelopment Agencies are local government agencies that work in collaboration with residents, property owners, businesses, and other community organizations to foster redevelopment within the CRA District. These urban areas provide dynamic economic opportunities through strategically located residential and commercial properties and revitalization projects and programs.

The Business Development Board has a team of experts to assist you with your business relocation and expansion needs in Palm Beach County. The BDB works with CRAs helping new and expanding businesses take advantage of incentives and assistance programs such as Enterprise Zones, the Center for Enterprise Opportunity, HUD Section 108 Loans and other opportunities. When carrying out community redevelopment initiatives, CRAs may acquire land; construct streets and utilities; carry out repair and rehabilitation programs; hold, improve, clean or prepare property; mortgage or pledge property; borrow money and invest funds; relocate owners/occupants; and sell property.
